One of the factors that determine the cost of your auto insurance is your age. Usually the younger the driver is the higher premium that younger person has to pay than the older more experience drivers. The reason for this is because; the statistics show that younger drivers are more likely to be involved in a car accident than older experience drivers. So in order to cover the claims (which are usually frequent) that arise from young drivers, they are charged more on their premiums.

Another factor for your auto insurance cost is the type of car you are driving. The cost o car insurance for sport cars with two doors is much higher than the cost of auto insurance of regular cars with 4 doors. The cost of the car insurance is higher for the expensive sporty cars than a regular family car.

Also, your driving record is another factor that will affect the cost of your car insurance. If you have a good driving record with no moving violation tickets or any accidents, then you won’t have to pay high premium.

Keep in mind that the auto insurance company will be the one determine the cost of your car insurance and then it is up to you to decide if you would want to buy the auto insurance policy with that company or still shop around.
