Can I just add my teenager driver to my current auto insurance policy?

Before going out and start collecting new auto insurance quotes. First ask your current auto insurance about adding on a young driver to your auto insurance policy. Many of the states will allow this and some do not.

Here is a note of caution. Never ever drive with out auto insurance, and never let your teenage drive your car without auto insurance also. No matter how expansive it is to add you’re teen to the auto policy. If some how your auto insurance finds out that you have a teenager but do not have any coverage. Your auto insurance company can drop your policy. Once that happens it will cost you even more money to get another auto insurance from any auto insurance company. So the safest and best thing to do is always have your auto insurance, it is the cheapest way to go.
